Sabrina Carpenter has become the first artist in 71 YEARS to spend 20 weeks at No. 1 in a single year

The last and only other artist to achieve this was crooner Frankie Laine in 1953, when the official singles charts were still in their infancy. Laine achieved a total of 28 weeks at number 1 that year, spending 18 non-consecutive weeks at number 1 with I Believe (still the all-time record for the UK's longest-running number 1 single), two weeks with Hey Joe and eight weeks with Answer me.

And if that wasn't enough, Sabrina also secures a fourth Top 10 hit from Short N' Sweet today, with Bed Chem entering the charts at number 9.

Today, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' “Die With A Smile” hits a brand new peak at No. 2, while Gigi Perez's “Sailor Song” jumps three places to No. 3, both becoming serious contenders for the top spot next week.

Congratulations to Gracie Abrams, who caps off an exceptional breakout year with her first Top 10 single “I Love You, I'm Sorry” (4), while Sonny Fodera, Jazzy and DOD enter the Top 5 with “Somedays” ( 5) and became the first top 5 hit for both Sonny Fodera and DOD and the third for Jazzy.

Chappell Roan's cheesy HOT TO GO! rebounds four, to a new peak (6), while Charli xcx and Ariana Grande's Sympathy is a Knife Remix enters the Top 10 (7), marking Charli's 9th Top 10 single and Ariana's 23rd. Charli also sees Apple jump 15 spots (11) after his remix with The Japanese House, and 360 is back in the chart (20) after his remix with Robyn and Yung Lean.

KSI and Trippie Redd's “Thick Of It” jumps six to No. 8, becoming KSI's ninth and Trippie Redd's first top 10 single.

Celebrating Thick Of It's Top 10 placement with his brand new Official Top 10 Award, KSI tells Official Charts:

“Ladies and gentlemen, Thick Of It is now my ninth top 10 single. To all the haters – haha! Stay mad!

“To all my fans, thank you very much. You guys were amazing, having nine top 10 singles is crazy! Kudos to Official Charts for awarding us this great Official Top 10 Award!”

Following the release of a brand new remix featuring Camila Cabello, Adam Port, Stryv and KeinMusik's “Move” jumps 12 spots to a new peak of No. 10 (giving all three artists their first top 10 hit).

Pop princess Addison Rae continues to rise with Diet Pepsi, up one (14) this week, while Billie Eilish's Wildflower (18) hits a new high at three.

As UK audiences continue to obsess over Netflix's Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, Crowded House's 1986 classic Don't Dream It's Over has risen five to number 32. The title reached number 25 in 1996.

Finally, BLACKPINK member JENNIE makes history today as the highest-charting Korean solo artist. Her latest single Mantra debuts at No. 37, overtaking BLACKPINK bandmate Jisoo, who peaked at No. 38 last year with FLOWER.
