Juventus got the ball onto the green and scored twice inside the post, after an own goal from Maduka Okoye and Nicolò Savona, and then saw Udinese's best chance hit the crossbar.

The Bianconeri were without Gleison Bremer, Nico Gonzalez, Douglas Luiz and Arek Milik, but brought Teun Koopmeiners and Kenan Yildiz back into the starting lineup after high-scoring draws against Inter and Parma. The Friulians were only two points behind in the table, but squandered a 2-0 lead and lost 3-2 at Venezia in midweek when they were down to 10 men. Isaak Touré was therefore suspended, Alexis Sanchez, Thomas Kristensen, Gerard Deulofeu and Arthur Atta were injured, but Florian Thauvin returned for his first appearance since September 28th.

See how it developed in the live blog.

Khephren Thuram got into promising positions twice in the first five minutes, but initially failed to hit the target and then shot over the goal from 12 meters after a cross from Nicolò Savona.

Juve took a chaotic lead when Thuram recovered from Kenan Yildiz, hit a defender and saw his angled shot bounce off the inside of the far post and off Maduka Okoye's back. It therefore counts as an own goal for the Udinese goalkeeper.

A few moments later the hosts almost equalized when Keinan Davis forced a desperate save from Michele Di Gregorio on the short stick after an attack, then Martin Payero's header was denied by Thauvin's cross.

Instead, Juventus doubled their lead by hitting the exact same spot on the post. This time Kenan Yildiz saw his solo attempt deflected off the woodwork and Savona was ready to push in the rebound from 14 yards.

Udinese thought they had got back into the swing of things straight after the break when Federico Gatti Di Gregorio scored and Keinan Davis was able to fire the loose ball into the empty net, but the referee saw Davis push the defender's back to cause the collision .

Koopmeiners narrowly missed Dusan Vlahovic's interesting cross with a header, then the Serbian international hit the goalkeeper's gloves at the near post.

Udinese managed a series of corners in a period of pressure, including Di Gregorio's save from a Davis header and Lorenzo Lucca, who smashed Hassane Kamara's cross onto the crossbar.

Koopmeiners could have made it 3-0 in the last minute of regular time after a free throw from Samuel Mbangula, but the ball got stuck under his feet so Okoye was able to parry with his outstretched legs.
