Should Daisy Kelliher continue to support Below Deck Sailing Yacht's Gary King?

For me, Sauron is the clear answer to this question. Charlie Vickers was phenomenal as Annatar and his scenes were consistently the strongest in the entire second season. He is completely vicious and brutal, but balances this with extremely seductive charm. His unleashing in the Season 1 finale reveal allowed The Rings of Power to go to the next level, and I'm amazed that the story arc with him and Celebrimbor is already over. I'm excited to see where his story goes.

The 1980s were an iconic time for children's cartoons. Movies didn't catch on like the impending doom in “The Secret of NIMH” or the terrifying monsters in “The Last Unicorn.” The television shows were also unique and full of action. ThunderCats was one of my favorite series from that time, with a unique story and full of action and battles between good and evil. I thought every character was so cool back then, and I particularly liked Cheetara. We were supposed to make a ThunderCats movie in the late 2000s, but it was never greenlit. 2020 did have Cartoon Network's ThunderCats Roar, but it just didn't hit the mark for me. I want to see a true return to form with classic animation and 80s style.

If I'm being completely honest, Better Man wasn't a film I had on my radar. Of course I know Robbie Williams, but I've never been into his music, so a documentary about his life never piqued my interest. However, after watching the trailer for Better Man, I can't wait to see this movie. The fact that Robbie is a monkey during the narration of his life because he considers himself less evolved is unique and exciting. I hope the film is as good as the trailer promises because it has landed at the top of my must-see films list for the rest of 2024.

The popular detective series with a twist, Monk, follows Adrien Monk, a private detective who suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder. Unlike many older television shows that featured mental health or disabilities, Monk never criticized Adrian for having OCD, although there were of course humorous moments about his condition. It normalized psychiatric visits and mental health support utilization and demonstrated growth while still living with the illness. The humor is still relatable today and there aren't too many outdated themes. However, Monk can seem a bit monotonous when viewed consecutively. The episodes were formulated to work perfectly for cable television, but in the age of streaming, it's difficult to be an addictive show. However, I like to keep it on in the background when I'm working or doing tasks around the house. There are still scenes and plot points that make me want to sit down and watch, but I can listen to them in the background as a comfort show. Even though it may not be the perfect show to this day'

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is back for season two and this time it focuses more on Carol and her journey to reunite with Daryl, which is why it is titled The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon: The Book of Carol. I have to say up front that the first season is by far my favorite of the spin-off series, so I was really looking forward to its return. While I'm interested in what it has to say and am entertained for the most part, I feel like it falls miles short of the first season in terms of storytelling. Still, Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride are incredible as always, so I think they're worth checking out. Just temper your expectations.

In an age of CGI, it seems so rare to actually see practical effects. Although there are still some modern films that use this technique, such as the original Lord of the Rings trilogy, which uses its famous “bigatures” of large (but still small) versions of locations such as Helm's Deep. The films also used practical effects for many of the creatures, which was showcased very well. But do old films still have the same appeal today as they once did? I would argue that for the most part they actually do. While there will always be films, both new and old, that offer a wide range of practical effects quality, there tended to be a lot more emphasis on puppets and sculptures in the '90s and earlier. The best examples of practical effects that still hold up would be Jaws, Alien, Jurassic Park and The Thing. Each of these films used puppetry for their creatures in a way that evokes believable terror. I hope that we continue to see the benefits of practical effects today, as the results b
