Significant traffic delays are expected during Trump's visit to Cabarrus County

CONCORD, NC (WBTV) – Former President Donald Trump is coming to Cabarrus County on Monday, October 21st. Significant traffic disruptions are expected.

He will visit the Concord Convention Center for an 11th Hour Faith Leaders Meeting at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 3:30 p.m

The event will feature Trump, Eric Trump and Dr. Ben Carson attend.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said there will be “intermittent road closures” between Charlotte-Douglas International Airport and the Concord area between 5 and 9 p.m

Officials urged travelers to seek an alternative route, although details of which roads would be affected were not clarified.

Trump in North Carolina

Trump has visited North Carolina at least seven times since late July.

Some notable stops: The former president spoke to thousands of supporters during a rally at Bojangles Coliseum in July. A little over a month ago, he spoke to the National Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) in Charlotte. About three weeks ago he was in Mint Hill.

The latest Charlotte-area appearance comes just three weeks before Election Day and in a state crucial to his bid to retake the White House.
