“SNL” mocks Shawn Mendes, Reba McEntire and prominent pro-choice activists

The latest episode of “Saturday Night Live” featured plenty of election-related jokes, including a few about celebrities supporting either Kamala Harris or Donald Trump in the race.

During the Weekend Update segment, Heidi Gardner impersonated Reba McEntire as she sat down at the table with Colin Jost and avoided mentioning the candidate she supports.

“Well, isn’t that what everyone wants to know? Who does Bad Bunny support? “Who does Reba vote for?” Gardner, 41, said.

“Well, here's the thing: Call me Shawn Mendes, because I'm still figuring it out,” the comedian added, referencing Mendes' recent comments regarding speculation about his sexuality.

Jost, 42, asked Gardner's McEntire about his “indecision” and pointed out that the election is next week.

“Well, I’m from a little town called McAlester, Oklahoma, and we don’t make quick decisions,” Gardner replied. “In fact, we have a saying: If you think the milk is spoiled, take another sip.”

Gardner further joked, “When I'm on 'The Voice,' I don't know if the person singing is a Republican or a Democrat. All I care about is that they are Team Reba and not Team Snoop Diggity Dog, Michael Souffle or the blonde Japanese girl from No Doubt.

When asked whether she would vote for Trump, 78, or Harris, 60, Gardner said, “Why can't they both be president? Like our milk in McAlester – creamy and crunchy.”

“I don’t care if you’re white, purple, gay, black, skinny, have fake breasts, or are smelly, flappy naturals. If you can sing, you’re Team Reba,” Gardner continued.

“Growing up, we didn’t even know what political parties were. We were Methodist-atheist,” the comedian added. “Mom was a Republican and Dad was Pennywise – I’m a redhead, right? We didn't have much.

Since there was no water in our house, we had to drink mom's perfume. Mom worked 59 jobs just to keep us in school and Dad only had one job, feeding kids. My mom only weighed 35 pounds and 67 pounds of that were breasts. But I watched as she put on her best voting dress and crawled to the polls. Not because she couldn’t walk, but because those stinking naturals were staggering low.”

At the end of the segment, Gardner announced that she would vote on her phone by entering her Social Security number, credit card information, a photo of “your redheads,” and taking a photo under her pants.

Last night's “SNL” was the series' final episode before Tuesday's 2024 presidential election. John Mulaney hosted while Chappell Roan was the musical guest.

Countless celebrities have already announced who they are supporting in the race.

Celebrities like Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, Bruce Springsteen, Eminem, Jennifer Aniston, Leonardo DiCaprio and Julia Roberts are pro-Harris, who made a cameo appearance on “SNL” in the show's cold open alongside fellow impersonator Maya Rudolph.

Trump, meanwhile, is supported by Jason Aldean, Elon Musk, Zachary Levi, Dr. Phil, Danica Patrick, Kid Rock, Amber Rose, Caitlyn Jenner and others.

The next episode of “SNL,” which airs four days after the election, will be hosted by comedian Bill Burr.
