Stanford Cardinal vs. NC State Wolfpack Prediction, Odds and Tips

With just one ACC win each, the Stanford Cardinal will travel across the country to face the NC State Wolfpack. After a promising 2-1 start to the season for Stanford, the wheels have fallen off and the Cardinal have lost their last five games. After a difficult schedule of 4 games against some of the ACC's top teams that saw Stanford lose by an average of 30 points per game, Stanford lost 27-24 to Wake Forest on its home court last week. Despite being a slight underdog, Wake Forest controlled most of the game. Quarterback Ashton Daniels finished things off with his second interception of the game and eighth of the season. NC State won its last game 24-23 against California. The team trailed 23-10 in the fourth quarter before rallying from behind to take a late lead. They rested on their bye last weekend and now head into the final stages of the season hoping for a bowling spot.

NC State believes it can make one more attempt to finish the season and salvage a poor start. The Wolfpack's final four games are against Stanford, Duke, Georgia Tech and North Carolina. The unfortunate injury to starting quarterback Grayson McCall set the Wolf Pack back, but freshman quarterback CJ Bailey has successfully filled in under center. Bailey finished the game against California with 306 passing yards, 2 touchdowns and no interceptions. Now the Wolfpack, which has an extra week to prepare, gets a chance to face a struggling Stanford team that will have to fly three time zones to get to this game. I'm excited to see NC State get such a big win this Saturday to start their season-ending run.
