Young, a senior, transferred from the University of Miami in December. In the Bulldogs' first five games, he had 11 catches for 149 yards and two touchdowns.

Young's arrest was first reported by ESPN, which cited Young's police report in which a 20-year-old woman who described herself as Young's ex-girlfriend told police she went to his apartment around 12 p.m. ET on Tuesday . The complainant said Young “grabbed her left arm near her bicep and triceps and physically dragged her out of his room.” The woman said Young “used derogatory language and demeaned her”; She said Young returned to his room and locked the door.

The woman told police she began collecting her belongings when a friend called her. When she responded, the woman told police, “Mr. Young came out and grabbed her from behind. She said he picked her up and began squeezing her torso and stomach very hard. She said she felt like (Young) was trying to harm her.”

The police officer transported the woman to an Athens hospital for treatment.
