PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Pittsburgh Steelers lost 20-17 to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night at Acrisure Stadium.

The start of the game was delayed by almost 90 minutes as severe thunderstorms with thunder and lightning hit the area on Sunday evening.

Justin Fields started again for Pittsburgh as Russell Wilson remains sidelined with a calf injury.

Steelers linebacker TJ Watt recorded his 100th career sack during the game, becoming the second fastest player to reach that mark in NFL history.

Both the Steelers and Cowboys struggled to score points in the first half, with Dallas leading 6-3 at halftime.

Fields and tight end Connor Heyward scored a touchdown in the second half to give Pittsburgh a 10-6 lead. However, this lead would not last as the Cowboys would regain a 13-10 lead.

Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr. intercepted a pass to give the Steelers the ball with about ten minutes left in the game.

The Black and Gold offense took advantage of the turnover with Fields and tight end Pat Freiermuth scoring a touchdown with 4:56 to play to take a 17-13 lead.

The Cowboys took the lead with 0:26 to play when Dak Prescott found Jalen Tolbert in the end zone for a touchdown.

Pittsburgh's offense had one last chance to tie the score with 0:15 to play, but was unsuccessful.

With the loss, Pittsburgh drops to 3-2 and will play the Las Vegas Raiders on the road next week.
