Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are marking a major milestone in their relationship, even though the pop star missed the Chiefs' first NFL game of the season

TRAVIS Kelce and Taylor Swift reached a major milestone in their relationship this week.

Tuesday marked the day to the day that Swift sent everyone into a frenzy when she was spotted at a Chiefs game.

The music megastar was spotted at the Kansas City Chiefs' showdown against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium on September 24 last year.

She watched the game in a suite next to Kelce's mother Donna and was then seen leaving with the NFL player.

The couple was first spotted holding hands in public in October 2023 as their relationship blossomed.

Swift was a regular at Chiefs games throughout the season.

That included a frantic escape from her concert in Tokyo, Japan, to Las Vegas, Nevada, to watch the Super Bowl in February.

Her presence continues this season, where she was seen at both of the Kansas City Chiefs' home games in Weeks 1 and 2.

Swift watched the season opener against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, September 5, at Arrowhead Stadium.

She also returned the following week for the Chiefs' showdown with the Cincinnati Bengals.

But the musician missed Sunday's win against the Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.

The US Sun revealed this week that Swift skipped the trip to Atlanta to prepare for the next leg of her blockbuster world tour.

And she plans to attend Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

“Going to the game in Atlanta wasn't possible because she had scheduled time with some friends, like Gigi Hadid, who she was hanging out with over the weekend, and other friends she hadn't seen in a while,” an insider said.

“She wanted to hang out with them before returning to tour soon. But she plans to return to the next game to support Travis.”

“They spoke on the phone before the game and after the game.

“He works his tail off.”

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid jumped to Travis Kelce's defense after a slow start to the season.

Kelce has only eight catches for 69 yards and zero touchdowns in three games.

Reid said: “I know people say he's old or whatever, that he has distractions and that the defense doesn't buy any of that.”

“We have another receiver (Rashee Rice) playing against him who has a lot of yards and catches, and that’s how it goes.”

“He works hard, hasn’t lost his stride and all those things, and he’s not distracted. That’s not the case.”

“People are making sure he’s taken care of by some of these defenses.”

“She wanted to congratulate him on his win!”

Kelce has had a difficult start on the field this season.

He has made just eight catches for a total of 69 yards with no touchdowns in three games.

Both Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and quarterback Patrick Mahomes jumped to Kelce's defense.

Reid said: “I know people say he's old or whatever, he has distractions and all that, but the defense doesn't believe that.”

“He works hard, hasn’t lost his stride and all those things, and he’s not distracted. That’s not the case.”

“People are making sure he’s taken care of by some of these defenses.”

Mahomes added: “I obviously want to give him the ball and let him influence the game that way.”

“But the more defenses respect him, the more other guys get open and other guys make plays.”
