Taylor Swift's father had an adorable exchange with a travel agent on a recent Southwest flight

A travel agent recounts a heartwarming encounter she had with Taylor Swift's father on her final flight to the Southwest.

The traveler, also named Taylor, took to TikTok on Wednesday, October 30, to explain what she talked about with the “Karma” singer's father, Scott Swift, during their flight from New Orleans. She says she sat front row right next to Scott, who was traveling to an undisclosed destination after seeing his daughter perform on the Eras Tour in Louisiana.

The video first shows a short clip of their exchange, filmed by another passenger, before cutting to the travel agent saying, “I'm the girl who sat next to Papa Swift.”

Although she says she's not a “big Swiftie” and only flew through New Orleans on the way to Mexico, she admits she had to address the “elephant in the room” and ask Scott, “Are you Taylor's dad?”

The TikToker claims he responded “Yes, that's me” and reached into his bag to give her some guitar picks. She then gives a quick recap of what they chatted about during their trip, describing Scott as “a talker” and “the sweetest man on planet Earth.”

“I didn't even have to ask him any questions and he just revealed how proud he was of Taylor, a lot about his life – all the good things,” the TikToker shared.

She notes that he showed her videos of recent concerts for most of the flight. The third person in their line also finally realized who Scott was and joined in the conversation, followed by the Southwest flight attendants who “wrote him a message, gave him some bracelets and fangirled,” the poster shared.

“He showed us so many videos from the shows in New Orleans,” she continues. “He pointed out his favorite parts of the various shows. He was so proud he said, ‘Look how she does that, I love that part.’ The cutest thing in the world.”

TikToker Taylor adds that while they took a photo together “outside the plane and we took one in our seat,” he kindly asked her not to immediately post the pictures for privacy reasons.

“He told me how busy his lifestyle is as he attends conferences, attends all their concerts and attends all the football games. He just said he was always running.”

She claims Scott also told her that he books all of his own flights and hotels, “which I thought was super cool,” she says.

While talking about his daughter's influence, he compared the Eras tour to the feelings that Woodstock evoked in him in 1969, as it was the “big thing of its time,” the agent added.

The Grammy winner performed three sold-out shows in New Orleans from October 25th to 27th as part of the final leg of her record-breaking tour, which began in March 2023. It initially started in the USA before traveling to Central and South America, Asia, Australia and Europe.

It concludes with final stops in Indianapolis, Toronto and Vancouver and officially ends on Sunday, December 8th.
