Team news: White returns for Inter clash | Team news | News

Mikel Arteta has made just one change to the team that played against Newcastle at the weekend: Ben White returns to face Inter Milan.

After not starting the last two games, White returns at right-back while Jurrien Timber continues at left-back. Gabriel and William Saliba form the core defense partnership.

Declan Rice is completely out with a foot injury, so Thomas Partey returns to midfield with Mikel Merino and Leandro Trossard.

Kai Havertz starts at the front, captain Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli on the flanks.

After missing our last twelve games with an ankle injury, Martin Odegaard is fit enough to return to the bench. Our substitutes also include 18-year-old defender Josh Robinson and Nathan Butler-Oyedeji, a 21-year-old striker. Both have yet to represent the first team.

The visitors make five changes from the team that beat Venezia 1-0 at the weekend. Top scorer Lautaro Martinez starts up front, but former marksman Henrikh Mkhitaryan is on the bench, along with Italy internationals Alessandro Bastoni and Nicolo Barella.

Arsenal: Raya, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Timber, Partey, Merino, Trossard, Saka, Martinelli, Havertz. Substitutes: Neto, Robinson, Zinchenko, Myles-Skelly, Kiwior, Jorginho, Odegaard, Nwaneri, Sterling, Jesus, Butler-Oyedeji.

Inter: Sommer, Dumfries, Pavard, De Vrij, Bisseck, Darmian, Frattesi, Calhanoglu, Zielinski, Taremi, L Martinez. Substitutes: Di Gennaro, J Martinez, Arnautovic, Thuram, Acerbi, Buchanan, Asllani, Mkhitaryan, Barella, Dimarco, Bastoni.
