Ted Lasso Season 4 begins in January as we wait for Apple TV+ to be announced

It's been a fun week for fans of the Bill Lawrence-created shows on Apple TV+. The new season of “Shrinking” made its debut and then immediately picked up Season 3. Lawrence shared that Bad Monkey is planned for three seasons. Now Apple TV+ has set the date for Ted Lasso season 4 to begin filming.

Production on the fourth season will begin very soon

Apple TV+ hasn't officially announced that more Ted Lasso is coming. But we're getting more and more evidence confirming the existence of season four.

First it was announced that key cast members had their contracts revoked for a new season, then Matt Belloni reiterated on his podcast that “this is indeed the right time.”

Now the production start date for the fourth season of Ted Lasso has been set for January 6, 2025.

Sigmund Judge of the Magic Rays of Light podcast previously provided exclusive evidence of Ted Lasso's new production start. Now this information has also been publicly listed on the Film & Television Industry Alliance website.

The path to more Ted Lasso

Although “Ted Lasso” was originally intended to be a three-season arc, the show's enormous popularity and popular ensemble cast meant that calls for more “Lasso” were growing before the third season even ended.

It became clear that although virtually everyone on the creative team wanted to continue the show, it all came down to co-creator and lead actor Jason Sudeikis. Now that he has finally given the series his blessing, work on a new season has quickly begun.

It's unclear when Apple TV+ plans to announce the show's sequel. But if an October event does happen, maybe this could be the perfect moment.
