The 2024 Tulsa Run is scheduled for Saturday, October 26th

The TTCU Tulsa Run returns for the 47th year on Saturday. An estimated 5,000 runners and fans are expected to be in downtown Tulsa during the morning hours.

The event, which traditionally has something for everyone, includes the 15K Spotlight Run as well as a 5K Run, a double option of both and a 2K Run.

From the starting line at Third Street and Boston Avenue, the morning 5K run starts at 7:30 a.m., followed by the 2K run at 8:00 a.m

The 15km run starts at 8:30am

The wheelchair race for the 5K and 15K runs begins five minutes before the scheduled start times.

This year's runners come from 24 states, with Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri and Kansas being the most represented.

Over 150,000 participants have completed the 15km race since 1978, when just over a thousand crossed the finish line.

A highlight of the 15 km run will once again be the “All Year Runners” who have taken part in every Tulsa run. This year there are three between the ages of 69 and 84.

The oldest runner overall in this year's 15 km run is 86 years old. The youngest registered participant is 11 years old.

As always, numerous charity teams will be taking part, representing various charitable causes and organizations. The Tulsa Run, which offers teams the opportunity to raise money for their organizations, has donated more than $330,000 to local nonprofits since 2011.

Each finisher of the race receives a medal. All men who complete the 15km run in under an hour and all women who complete the 15km run in under 70 minutes will receive a cup.

Awards will be given to the top three finishers in the 15km and 5km races for men and women, separated by age group from 6 to over 75 years old. The top three male and female 5K and 15K wheelchair finishers will also receive awards.

There will be fun again at the finish. The Finish Line Festival takes place in the parking lot south of Third Street between Boston and Cincinnati avenues, north of Chase Bank. The festival includes unofficial times, music, large candy bars, pizza slices and beer from American Solera, Cabin Boys and Marshall Brewing.
