The best college football bets for Penn State vs. Ohio State in Week 10

Ohio State and Penn State meet on Saturday afternoon in Week 10 in a College Football Playoff preview.

Although this game features two teams with national championship aspirations, injuries are making headlines: Penn State star quarterback Drew Allar is ailing and Ohio State is dealing with injury issues on offense. Here's how to target the player props in Saturday's marquee matchup.

Carnell Tate over 40.5 yards

Tate is the biggest benefactor of a banged-up and shaky Penn State secondary that hasn't produced an elite passing game so far this season.

While Jeremiah Smith and Emeka Egbuka get most of the attention in the passing game, Tate has made plenty of big plays in Ohio State's offense, highlighted by a four-catch, 102-yard effort against Nebraska last week.

Tate has surpassed that mark in every game he has appeared in except the Oregon game this season, scoring at least three goals in every game. He usually runs deeper routes, which makes him more prone to going blank. According to Pro Football Focus, 13 of his targets are more than 10 yards down the field.

I move further into the OSU depth chart to find my receiver of choice to go over his receiving yardage.

Nicholas Singleton UNDER 48.5 rushing yards

Singleton has a few nagging injuries as he has started to cede the carry share to Kaytron Allen. What was a split at the start of the season has become a 60/40 split, with Singleton getting more involved in the passing game.

With that in mind, and with ongoing injuries to the quarterback and offensive line, I'm excited to see how explosive this ground game is at Penn State and whether Singleton can be a big gain.

The Buckeyes' defensive line was resilient to the run, ranking in the top 10 in yards per carry and EPA/rush and allowing less than three yards per carry. I believe Penn State's running game could be limited as Drew Allar may play banged up and/or get a big dose of a run-first Beau Pribula.

The game odds are updated regularly and are subject to change.
