The bookmaker is “cheering for Green Bay to come home” to the Lions-Packers

The bookmaker is “cheering for Green Bay to come home” to the Lions-Packers

“America’s Game of the Week” is shaping up to be a blast.

Dan Campbell's Detroit Lions hit the highway this Sunday afternoon at legendary Lambeau Field to take on Matt LaFleur's Green Bay Packers. You can watch the NFC North showdown on FOX and the FOX Sports app, with Kevin Burkhardt and Tom Brady in conversation.

The betting line for Las Vegas was Green Bay -1 over the summer, but the number has risen nearly three points due to uncertainty surrounding Packers quarterback Jordan Love.

Love strained his groin during Sunday's win in Jacksonville and there is no real update on his condition.

However, DraftKings Sportsbook is trading Detroit -3.5 and O/U 48.

“Let’s see what happens with Love in practice,” pro bettor Adam Chernoff told FOX Sports. “He didn’t leave (Wednesday) and I’m excited to see what happens on Thursday and Friday. You have the farewell on deck. Do they force him back or give him the extra week to recover and prepare for the endurance run?” ? It's still a little uncertain.

“I also think the number is a bit uncertain in the market. This feels like a mid-hedge spot, with a slight tendency for Love not to play with price. If Love is out, that's more like Lions -4.5.” If Love is in, I think we see this as a pick 'em (with Love expected to play on the lookahead line). Love's initial adjustment to Malik Willis was a little over six points, but Willis is much better in this offense than we expected.

“I think it's Lions -1/-1.5 with love in and -4/-4.5 with love out.

Ironically, the Packers are 2-0 this season leading (SU) and against the spread (ATS) when Willis starts under center. Wins and covers against the Colts and Titans may not seem particularly impressive in retrospect, but wins are hard to come by in the NFL.

Should the NFL be more afraid of the undefeated Chiefs or the 6-1 Lions?

LaFleur has also performed well in the underdog role as head coach. According to Covers' Joe Osborne, Green Bay is 17-4 ATS when scoring three points or more under LaFleur.

How does he manage to do more with less?

“Plan, preparation, game plan,” Chernoff analyzed. “That's easy. These three things. He is always better prepared than the other defense. He has a great script at the start of the game and is able to adapt and change his playmaking to suit whoever he has in the middle and adapt it to an opponent. We.” In the two games he started, he even saw two very different game plans with Willis.

“He’s one of the best play callers in the NFL.”

Meanwhile, the Lions have been flexing their muscles all season and have been particularly noticeable since their Week 5 bye. They beat the Cowboys 47-9 in Dallas, handed the Vikings their first loss of the year in Minnesota, and then dropped 52 points to the Titans.

They have outscored their opponents 130-52 during that period.

“The public has taken our money on Detroit all season,” a Las Vegas bookmaker told FOX Sports. “I actually looked again the other day and the Lions had six out of seven games covered. This is a really good football team and they are becoming more and more popular at the window.”

“I have been increasing their rating all season and they continue to cover. That is the sign of a special team. I really like her trainer too. He got a lot of buzz last year for the NFC Championship, which I think is silly. You.” I've established a personality and identity, and it's clearly working.

“We’ll probably hope that Green Bay comes home.”

It's difficult to take action without knowing more about Love's health, but I can assure you that I have NFL injury alerts from X right on my lock screen. The situation needs to be monitored closely and I will play against the Packers if positive news emerges on Love.

Be prepared to act quickly in this case.
