The former Alabama All-American reaches 1,000 rushing yards again in the NFL

For the sixth time in his NFL career, Derrick Henry is a 1,000-yard rusher, and the former Alabama All-American needed just nine games in the 2024 NFL season to get there.

Henry surpassed 1,000 rushing yards for the 2024 season on Sunday when he took a second-and-11 handoff at the Denver Broncos' 37-yard line and broke through a 20-yard run with 11:21 left in the third quarter .

That gave Henry 64 yards on 13 carries for the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, increasing his 2024 total to 1,010 yards on 158 carries.

Henry is the first NFL player to reach 1,000 rushing yards this season.

Henry also ran for over 1,000 yards in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2023. In 2020, Henry recorded the eighth 2,000-yard rushing season in NFL history.

In 2021, Henry had 937 rushing yards in eight games of the season and then missed the remaining nine games of the regular season due to a broken foot.
