Former Louisville football player and San Francisco 49ers rookie running back Isaac Guerendo scored a 76-yard carry to give the 49ers a win over the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football yesterday.

The 49ers selected Guerendo in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. He played primarily on special teams as a kick return and had limited carries in six games.

49ers All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey is injured and hasn't played a snap this year, so Jordan Mason was the lead back to start the season, and he's done a pretty good job as he leads the NFL in rushing yards (609) for Start of the season.

He was primed for another big night until he suffered a shoulder injury in the first half. Guerendo took the majority of the carries in the second half.

After a Seahawks touchdown that cut the 49ers' lead to five points, San Franciso had the ball on its 19-yard line with less than two minutes to play.

On first-and-10, Guerendo broke through the right side of the offensive line, ran past defenders and eventually slipped at the Seahawks' five-yard line, forcing them to call a timeout.
