The Indianapolis Colts' defensive performance wasn't enough to drive the offense

The Indianapolis Colts (4-5) left US Bank Stadium late in the weekend with a nationally televised game Football on Sunday evenings Lost to the Minnesota Vikings (6-2), which put them under .500.

The Colts' offense was disappointing to say the least: They scored just six of the team's 13 points, averaged 4.6 yards per play compared to the Vikings' 5.9 yards, converted just 3 of 11 third-down opportunities (27, 3%) and never reach the red zone. It was by far their worst mid-season performance.

The Crunching Numbers series is dedicated weekly to honoring milestones and accomplishments achieved by the Colts and their individual players after each game, and this is one of the least notable editions in recent memory. The following Colts hits were provided after the game by Colts Communications.

Wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. caught 1 of 4 targets for 14 yards (14.0 average).
