Frankie Valli is aware of the chatter on social media and wants to put it to rest.

Per PEOPLE magazine, While singing his hit song in a clip, he was behind on the choreography and also appears to “miss some of the lyrics” on “Bye, Bye, Baby (Baby, Goodbye).”

Some people got it. The guy is 90. He's up there on stage doing it better than most of us – let's face it, most of us want to see 90 live – could ever do at that age, even if he's slowed down a bit is. However, others speculated that he lip-synced and was even forced to perform.

Valli told PEOPLE he knows “There's been a lot about me on the internet lately, so I wanted to clear things up.”

“I'm blessed to be 90 years old and still doing what I love to do, and as long as I'm able and the audience wants to see me, I'll be out there performing like I always do,” he said. “I absolutely love what I do. And I know we put on a great show because our fans still come out in droves and the show still rocks.”

Valli also explained how they design the show.

“The Four Seasons sound has always been about layering vocals and instruments,” he told PEOPLE. “We use our 60 years of experience to make us sound like the records. I sing. I have singers singing, great arrangements… everything. I have to laugh when I ask in the comments if anyone is forcing me to go on stage.

“No one has ever forced me to do anything I didn’t want to do.”

Valli told PEOPLE He is “like the rabbit on TV that keeps running and running and running.”

“Chasing the music,” he said.

Valli has been performing since 1951. He is best known as the frontman of The Four Seasons, and he and the group were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.
