The Miami Dolphins' Most Valuable Player | Week nine | Efficient performance deserves recognition

The Miami Dolphins' Most Valuable Player | Week nine | Efficient performance deserves recognition

Oooh, I know some of you are seething right now. Some of you can't accept the fact that the top-ranked Miami Dolphins' performance on Sunday was good enough to win the most games in the National Football League.

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is not the reason why the Dolphins lost 30-27 on the road to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. In fact, if you score 27 points – which Miami did in two straight weeks, by the way – you should win most games you play in this league.

Unfortunately, the injury bug has hit South Florida football's defense, and the Miami Dolphins can't stop a last-minute bet to save their lives.

Still, a performance like the one Tagovailoa caught on tape Sunday is commendable, so that's exactly what I'll do.

Miami Dolphins Week Nine MVP – Tua Tagovailoa

Since returning from his most recent concussion, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has been a model of efficiency for the Dolphins. After completing 73.7% of his passes against the Arizona Cardinals in week eight, Miami's franchise signal-caller surpassed that performance against the Bills, completing a remarkable 25 of 28 passes (89.3%) for 231 yards and two touchdowns.

Tagovailoa actually would have thrown for 255 yards if wide receiver Jaylen Waddle hadn't inexplicably run a country mile backwards on the Dolphins' final attempt on Miami's final offensive play at the end of the game.

No, the good guys in aqua and orange didn't get a win on Sunday, but Tagovailoa's outstanding play shouldn't go unnoticed by the fan base. If he continues to play like he did in Week 9, the Dolphins are sure to have better days ahead.
