The Pittsburgh Steelers kicker receives major honors for his outstanding month

Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Chris Boswell was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for his outstanding performance in the Steelers' first four games of the year. During the month, Boswell scored 39 points and made 11 of 12 field goals, including five field goals of 50 yards or more.

Boswell was named AFC Player of the Week after sinking six field goals in the team's season-opening win over the Atlanta Falcons. This is only the second time Boswell has won the award in his productive career, the first being in 2015. He made the most field goals in the AFC this season.

This award comes on the same day the Steelers signed Boswell nine years ago. After being an undrafted free agent out of Rice, Boswell completed stints with the New York Giants and Houston Texans. Over his career, he posted a field goal percentage of 87.4. The former Pro Bowler is on track to make this list for the second time in 2024.
