'The Voice' fans refer to 15-year-old Sydney Sterlace as 'Mini Kelly Clarkson'

Season 26 of The voice premiered last week, and fans of the blind singing competition show already have favorites – they're even saying some of the early contestants could win it all in just a few months. And one of these social media outlets can't stop chattering around? 15 years old (!) Sydney Sterlace.

The West Seneca West High School student was among the many contestants who took part in the first night of Blind Auditions last Monday evening, wowing the judges and audience with her performance Olivia Rodrigois the hit “driving license”. Her powerful appearance had Michael Buble being the first trainer to press his button and turn around for her, followed by her Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg And Reba McEntirewhich earned her a four-chair turnaround. In a clip of her performance shared on the show's Instagram, it was clear that viewers were just as impressed as the trainers.

“Mini Kelly Clarkson??!” one person commented. “The singing is amazing!!!!!! She deserves the 4th bowel movement ❤️❤️,” chimed in another. “I feel like we have a finalist here…” another fan wrote. Someone else said: “This song is not easy! She killed this 🔥”.

At the end of her performance, the Upstate New York teen received a standing ovation from Snoop, and the rest of the judges followed suit. In the end, she had received offers from all four coaches to join their teams, but in the end she inevitably chose Gwen's.

“I would love to work with any of you, but my heart goes out to Gwen all the time,” she said.

After the second night of week one's blind auditions, Gwen added another contestant: Jan Dan to your team. Snoop added three, Michael added two and Reba added two. Blind Auditions will continue on Monday and Tuesday nights at 8pm EST on NBC for the next few weeks until team battles officially begin on October 15th.
