ForbesToday's NYT Mini Crossword Clues and Solutions for Wednesday October 9th

The Day of Thor is here and with it a new NYT mini crossword puzzle to solve. I've been playing these puns all the time lately. Of course my daily Wordle, but also Strands, occasionally Connections and Spelling Bee and now the Mini. I think Spelling Bee is by far the hardest game of all, although Connections can oscillate between pretty easy and pretty obscure. I mostly enjoy Wordle now, just to see if I can beat the Wordle bot. And when it comes to the Mini, I just try to shorten my times. Some people are incredibly quick at this, and I'm not one of them.

In any case, we will solve today's problem!

Spoilers ahead, of course. Skip ahead to see the picture of today's solved puzzle.

ABOVE

1 – Nature’s Band-Aids, you might say – scabs

6 – Singer, dancer and choreographer Abdul – PAULA

7 – Mountains of Peru – ANDES

8 – Melting Layer of a Reuben Sandwich – SWISS

9 – Needs to be cleaned up – messy

DOWN

1 – Muscle twitching – spasm

2 – Request from a few loud children – CANWE

3 – Some luxury cars – AUDIS

4 – Saints – BLESS

5 – Have a lot of “attitude” – SASSY

Well, this one went really well, and I didn't even start it super fast because I was distracted. I basically just filled in the ACROSS words one by one and solved the puzzle without even paying attention to the DOWNs. The only thing I did wrong was typing DIRTY, after which I quickly checked 1 DOWN and saw that it had to be SPASM. From then on it was all gravy. I solved today's problem in just 41 seconds. How have you been? let me know TwitterInstagram or Facebook.

If you also play Wordle, I also write instructions for it. You can find these and all of my TV guides, reviews and much more here on my blog. Thanks for reading!
