Travis Kelce and the Chiefs win as Taylor Swift returns to cheer them on

The Kansas City Chiefs went a perfect 8-0 in the NFL season after an overtime thriller – with Taylor Swift's stamp of approval!

Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24-17 at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday, November 4, as Swift, 34, supported her boyfriend at the Week 9 game in Kansas City.

Kelce caught 14 passes for 100 yards as Swift — wearing a vintage-style leather Chiefs jacket and knee-high Christian Louboutin boots — cheered him on.

Just before halftime, Kelce fumbled the ball, but the Chiefs picked up another win with a dominant second half.

Early in the fourth quarter, the 29-year-old Mahomes appeared to suffer an injury while running the ball toward the end zone. The Chiefs quarterback winced as he hit his previously injured ankle hard.

Luckily, Mahomes was back on the field soon after.

Overtime sent fans at Arrowhead Stadium into nervous silence as Kelce made a handful of catches from Mahomes, but running back Kareem Hunt helped the Chiefs seal the victory in overtime with the final touchdown.

The “So High School” singer cheered on Kelce and his teammates with her mother, Andrea Swift, her brother, Austin, and the Chiefs star's mother, Donna Kelce. Andrea even wore Kansas City merchandise and a jacket that read “In My Chiefs Era” in the VIP suite.

Also in attendance at Arrowhead Stadium was Travis' brother Jason Kelce, who provided commentary for ESPN's Monday Night Football match.

Just days before Swift supported Kelce and the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium, the tight end traveled to Indianapolis to see the second night of his girlfriend's Eras Tour shows at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Chiefs' win on Monday comes a week after Kelce had his best game of the season, including a touchdown, against the Las Vegas Raiders on Oct. 27. The dominant performance broke something of a dry spell at the start of the new season for Kelce. who admitted to having a slow start to his 12th season in the NFL.

After the Week 8 win, Kelce celebrated with a rare post on Instagram to commemorate his first touchdown of the season, captioning the photos, “Vegas Baby!! Vegas!!”

Next up, the Chiefs host the Denver Broncos at home on Sunday, November 10th.
