Trump and Harris are even dead in the national polls, and only one in four say the country is on the right track

A new poll has found that former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are in a dead heat among voters. Only one in four say the country is going in the right direction.

Both candidates have 48% of the vote, a margin of error of 2.5%, in the New York Times/Siena College poll of 2,516 likely voters nationwide conducted Oct. 20-23.

Harris led Trump 49% to 46% nationally when this poll was last conducted in early October.

Only 28% of respondents believe the U.S. is heading in the right direction with President Biden and Harris in the White House, compared to 61% who believe it is heading in the wrong direction.

According to CNN data gurus, there is a 60% chance the election will end in a “college default.”
