Trump's abortion policies could influence women's vote

A 28th-31st. Oct Des Moines Register A poll shows US Vice President Kamala Harris slightly ahead of former US President Donald Trump in Iowa, a state he won in 2016 and 2020. The trend was driven by a shift among independent women, who now support Harris by a 28-point margin.

Iowa passed a six-week abortion ban in July, joining 20 other states that have previously restricted the procedure Roe v. Wade Profitability standard since 2022. The survey shows that these policies could influence the outcome of the November 5th election.
