Tyrique Stevenson apologizes for her behavior on Hail Mary

Tyrique Stevenson apologized to Bears fans for taunting Commanders fans early on the final play before actually passing the pass to receiver Noah Brown on Washington's game-winning Hail Mary.

The game capped a largely poor day for the Bears with their 18-15 loss, and Stevenson's thoughtless behavior, as well as an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty he handed out earlier in the game, made the apology seem somewhat inadequate.

He probably owes them a few interceptions at some point in the future.

The other downer for the Bears was the long injury list that resulted from the game.

Teven Jenkins and Braxton Jones suffered knee injuries and Bill Murray suffered a pectoral injury while Montez Sweat suffered a shin injury.

“With all the offensive linemen we had there, I thought the guys there battled,” coach Matt Eberflus said. “The pocket was tighter in the second half, which was good.”

Eberflus said he had no idea of the severity of the injuries. The Bears finished the game with Kiran Amegadjie playing left tackle for Jones. Backup center Doug Kramer was forced to play guard due to injuries to Jenkins and Murray.

The Bears have tackle Larry Borom and guard Ryan Bates who could come off injured reserve for the next game.

At the last game on the Hail Mary, there was no sweat on the field after his injury.
