UEFA Champions League predictions: Matchday 11/5

The Champions League returns on November 5th: Real Madrid face AC Milan, Liverpool host Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen, Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund and more are in action. SI Soccer gives our schedule predictions.

Prediction: Slovan Bratislava – Dinamo Zagreb 1-2

Bratislava is one of six teams that have not yet picked up a point in the Champions League. Despite playing at home, the team's chances of qualifying for the next round dwindle even more as Dinamo Zagreb gets a big win away: Max Mallow

Prediction: PSV 2-2 Girona

Girona got their first win in the league phase in their last game against Slovan Bratislava. PSV picked up its second point after a draw against Paris Saint-Germain. Points will be split here between two teams hoping to move up the table: Max Mallow

Prediction: Borussia Dortmund – SK Sturm Graz 4:1

One thing is certain: this game will be full of goals. Borussia Dortmund have scored at least two goals in their first three games, including a 7-1 win over Celtic. The German team recently capitulated against Real Madrid with a two-goal lead at halftime. Expect another goalfest here as Dortmund get back on track – Max Mallow

Prediction: Celtic – RB Leipzig 1-2

Leipzig are yet to pick up a point in the Champions League, while Celtic picked up a point in a goalless draw with Atalanta. The Bundesliga club needs three points to move up the table – Max Mallow

Prediction: Real Madrid – AC Milan 2:1

The reigning European champions will be desperate to get back to winning ways after their horrific defeat to Barcelona on October 26. Vinícius Júnior also faces a statement match after losing the 2024 Ballon d'Or. Despite the team's defensive deficiencies, it is hard to imagine Real Madrid losing a Champions League home game – Amanda Langell

Prediction: LOSC Lille – Juventus 2-1

Lille and Juventus won and lost respectively in the Champions League last time out as both teams are level on points. The French team has the advantage of playing at home, which will ultimately make the difference in a closely contested affair – Max Mallow

Prediction: Liverpool 3-1 Leverkusen

Liverpool welcome Xabi Alonso back to Anfield in one of the most exciting games of the week. Arne Slot's team is one of two that remains perfect for three games. With the Kop rocking, Liverpool scores 12 points out of 12, making it a statement win – Max Mallow

Prediction: Sporting CP 2-3 Manchester City

Viktor Gyökeres vs. Erling Haaland is one of the most exciting striker duels in the Champions League. Rúben Amorim may be moving to Manchester United, but Sporting are one of the nine remaining unbeaten teams. A sneaky bet on the best game to see this Tuesday, with City getting the job done in the end – Max Mallow

Prediction: Bologna 1-3 AS Monaco

Monaco was one of the surprise teams at the start of the league phase, taking seven out of a possible nine points. The Ligue 1 team only lost points in a draw against Dinamo Zagreb, but bounced back with a 5-1 win against Red Star in their last game. Monaco gets its first away win in the league phase – Max Mallow
