Veterans Day Ceremony 2024 | City of Irvine

IRVINE, Calif. (October 30, 2024): The City of Irvine invites the community to join veterans and their families at a special Veterans Day ceremony on Monday, November 11, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Formal Garden at Colonel Bill's honor Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park.

“Each year, we gather as a community on Veterans Day to honor and remember the generations of American men and women who have selflessly dedicated their lives to the realization of the ideas of equality, democracy, justice and freedom – the ideas that are the very “America – defended and preserved, a shining beacon of hope to the world,” said Mayor Farrah N. Khan. “It is an honor to reflect with the community as we create this space to honor the sacrifice of these brave military men and women.”

The ceremony is carefully designed to express a spirit of gratitude to the men and women who have served with unwavering dedication in the U.S. military, past and present. Special recognition will be given to local veterans, veterans groups and military organizations.

This event is free, open to the public and an opportunity to honor the bravery, courage and sacrifice of the brave men and women who have served. In the event of inclement weather, the Veterans Day ceremony will be moved to Irvine City Hall, located adjacent to the park.

The Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park is located at 4 Civic Center Plaza in Irvine.
