(TMX/Gray News) – Several audience members at Wednesday night's UK premiere of “Terrifier 3” walked out and one of them vomited, according to the horror film's distributor Signature Entertainment.

The “Terrifier” franchise is known for its bloodthirsty ultraviolence and the sadistic perpetrator Art the Clown is said to be in terrifying top form in the third installment of the slasher series.

“Thank you to everyone who attended the 'Terrifier 3' gala last night,” wrote Signature Entertainment. If you have been affected by the #Terrifier3 event, please let us know if you need further assistance at this time. “

Ahead of the performance, the company released an image of a warning sign on the theater's door.

“This film contains extreme violence and excessive gore,” the warning reads. “If you feel unwell, please contact a member of staff. There are staff trained in first aid on site.”

Writer/director Damien Leone wrote on X that he “personally witnessed some crazy things at this British screening.”

In a press release, the film's synopsis states:

“After surviving Art the Clown’s Halloween massacre, Sienna and her brother struggle to rebuild their shattered lives. As the holiday season approaches, they try to feel the Christmas spirit and leave the horrors of the past behind them. But just when they think they're safe, Art the Clown returns, determined to turn their Christmas joy into a new nightmare. The holidays quickly unravel as Art unleashes his perverse terror, proving that no holiday is safe.”

Reports of sick viewers have accompanied every “Terrifier” film since it first aired in 2016.

While many dismissed the reports as a marketing stunt, Leone claimed in 2022 that the reports were “100% legitimate.”

Last month, Leone confirmed there would be a fourth installment to the series, according to Variety.

“Terrifier 3” hits theaters on October 11th.
