During August and September, developers in south-central Pennsylvania proposed plans to build storage facilities, grocery stores, apartments and houses.

The following list includes 24 projects in 15 communities in three counties.

Note: Not all proposed plans will come to fruition and some projects may take years to begin construction.

Ridge Rentals plans to build three self-storage buildings at 170 Hanover St.

Hampden Township

The residences on Trindle

61 units – 37 terraced houses and 24 apartments – are planned for the multi-family and terraced house complex. The developer is Hampden Townhomes.

Townhomes in Salem Meadows

The planned community development includes 40 terraced houses. The developer is based in Silver Spring Township and is based out of Salem Meadows LLC.

Lower Allen Township

Sheetz

A 6,159-square-foot convenience store is planned for 2501 Gettysburg Road.

Walmart

A 3,057-square-foot expansion is planned for the Walmart Supercenter store at 3400 Hartzdale Drive.

Lower Mifflin Township

Operations of Davis Ag

Plans call for construction of two duck houses on Pipeline Road totaling 84,448 square feet.

Middlesex Parish

RV camp

Plans call for 368 covered RV parking spaces and a 900 square meter office building on Claremont Road. The developer is Claremont Road LLC, based in York County.

Penn Township

A&S Self Storage LLC

The applicant proposes to construct 25,200 square foot self-storage mini-warehouses at 758 Centerville Road.

Operation of Tim Eberly Ag

The plan is to build a new poultry farm that will include two barns with a total area of ​​5,112 square meters, manure storage rooms and an egg room.

Silver Spring Township

Lawrence W. and Judith L. Zimmerman Poultry Farm

The plan calls for the construction of two poultry houses with a total area of ​​more than 58,000 square meters on Kost Road.

Spring Meadow Reserve Phase 3

A land development plan has been submitted for the final phase – Phase 3 – of the Spring Meadow Reserve project, which will include 24 single-family homes. The developer is EG Stoltzfus.

Wheatstone is a planned, age-restricted community consisting of 258 single-family residential units (78 single-family semi-detached and 180 single-family semi-detached) and a clubhouse. The Wheatstone Conditional Use Plan was approved by the South Middleton Township Board of Supervisors on November 22, 2022.
