Warriors fans react to Steph Curry's injury update ahead of NBA season

Warriors fans react to Steph Curry's injury update ahead of NBA season

The Golden State Warriors and Portland Trail Blazers will open their respective season openers on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. PT. This game will be played in Portland at the Moda Center.

It was a perfect 6-0 NBA preseason for the Warriors, which will hopefully continue into the regular season. Superstar point guard Steph Curry appeared in four of those games and missed some time due to a finger injury sustained on a defensive play against the Sacramento Kings.

Curry missed the preseason finale against the Los Angeles Lakers but was listed as available for the regular season opener.

Via Anthony Slater of The Athletic: “The Warriors have a blank injury report heading into their season opener tomorrow night in Portland. Nobody has listed. Steph Curry (finger) and Brandin Podziemski (broken nose) suffered injuries during the preseason, but they are completely healed.”

Without a second star, the Warriors will rely heavily on Curry this season. His preseason injury scare had fans worried, but it's good news that his absence from Golden State's final exhibition game won't cause him to miss the regular season opener.
