WATCH LIVE: Trump holds his final campaign rally in Michigan before voting begins Tuesday

The presidential election campaign is coming to an end. As in previous elections, candidates have largely stuck to the swing states they need to reach the 270 electoral votes needed to claim the presidency. The U.S. Electoral College's unique voting method for electing the president forces candidates to appeal to voters in states that could go either way, rather than trying to win the country's popular vote.

Donald Trump is scheduled to hold his final campaign rally of the 2024 presidential campaign at 11 p.m. ET. Watch it in the player above.

This year, there are seven states in play that represent less than 20% of the U.S. population. Of these, the Democratic and Republican presidential candidates focused most on Pennsylvania, the swing state with the highest number of electoral votes.
