For the 88th time, USC football and Washington will meet in a college football game.

But this year's game will be a little different. Both teams will meet for the first time ever as Big Ten rivals rather than Pac-12 rivals. Both moved conferences this offseason and are in their first year in the Big Ten. However, neither team can claim that the season went as planned.

Washington (4-4, 2-3 Big Ten) finished in second place nationally but suffered a 31-17 loss to No. 13 Indiana, which played with a backup QB. Lincoln Riley's third year got off to a good start for the Trojans (4-4, 2-4 Big Ten), but the team struggled in conference play. USC defeated Rutgers 42-20 last Friday night.

The series between the Trojans and Huskies began in 1923, with USC holding a 52-31-4 lead in the series.
