Week 9 Inactives vs. New Orleans

CHARLOTTE – The Panthers will be without two offensive starters against the Saints on Sunday.

Left tackle Ikem Ekwonu was already sidelined with an ankle injury and tight end Tommy Tremble was on the inactive list because of his back injury.

Tremble was listed as questionable before the game began, but the team added tight end Jordan Matthews to the active roster on Saturday to add depth.

Also inactive this week are safety Jammie Robinson, cornerback Shemar Bartholomew, outside linebacker DJ Johnson and tight end Feleipe Franks (concussion).

The Panthers are starting Brady Christensen at left tackle and Cade Mays at center to make up for Ekwonu's absence.

The Panthers signed cornerback Caleb Farley and wide receiver Deven Thompkins from the practice squad for depth reasons. Thompkins will wear jersey number 13.
