“Wednesday,” Netflix's spooky phenomenon is finally back with the highly anticipated second season in September 2025! The first season of “Wednesday” conquered the globe when it was released in November 2022 and perfectly combined dark humor, gothic mystery and supernatural thrills.

With a new creative team, fresh cast and an even darker tone, the show's second season pushes the boundaries even further and builds on the momentum of the first season. It is believed to delve deeper into the dark world of Nevermore Academy. In an exciting development, Jenna Ortega, who brilliantly brought Wednesday Addams to life, is taking on a new role as producer for Horror's second season.

“We have so much to learn about horror,” Ortega joked. Fans can look forward to more monsters, which according to the cast could potentially include centaurs and minotaurs, suggesting there may be even more bizarre and otherworldly enemies “Wednesday” face each other.

One of the most exciting parts of season two is new cast members, including both acting legends and rising stars. This includes the fresh faces of actors Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper and Owen Painter, who will bring a sense of gravitas to the expanding world of Nevermore Academy. Additionally, the guest appearance of Christopher Lloyd – the original Uncle Fester – is expected to entertain die-hard Addams Family fans. Meanwhile, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams and Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams will reprise their iconic roles from Season 1, among other main cast members.

This was announced in January 2023 “Wednesday” Season 2 had been greenlit. Principal photography began in May 2024 in the gothic landscapes and mystical settings of Ireland. After the first season set the bar high, the latest episodes are expected to break the roof.
