Where is Lee Corso? ESPN “College GameDay” analyst not on Week 6 show

Lee Corso was not on set for ESPN's “College GameDay” Saturday from Berkeley, Calif., for his Week 6 visit and first road trip to the home of the California Golden Bears.

“Lee Corso is a little under the weather,” Rece Davis announced at the start of the broadcast. “We expect to get him back soon.” I know LC is watching. “Speedy recovery, my friend. You'll be back soon.'”

The 89-year-old college football analyst also missed the Week 0 broadcast. No reason was given.

The show's program includes:

  • Coaches and players – Cal head coach Justin Wilcox and Miami head coach Mario Cristobal will both be live on set during the Week 6 show, while Missouri wide receiver Luther Burden III will join the show from the Tigers' pregame warmups before their showdown with Texas A&M. Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano is giving GameDay insider access to his team speech Friday night.
  • Coach's film room – Nick Saban takes fans into his film room to break down Michigan's defense ahead of their National Championship rematch against Washington.
  • Special guests – Jess Sims will be joined by athletes from Cal's contingent of 59 Olympians who competed in the 2024 Summer Games in Paris and collected a total of 23 medals in nine different sports – the second-most medals of any school in the country.
  • Guest selection – Former Cal running back Marshawn Lynch returns to Golden State to participate in College GameDay as a Week 6 guest player. “Beast Mode” earned First Team All-American honors and became the Cal Bears’ second all-time career rusher before playing 12 seasons in the NFL as a first-round draft pick. Lynch helped the Seahawks to a Super Bowl title and was a first-team All-Pro, being named a five-time Pro Bowler and a two-time rushing touchdown leader, among other honors.
