Is Jacksonville Jaguars star wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. playing today?

The rookie pass catcher suffered a chest injury in Jacksonville's 30-27 loss to the Green Bay Packers last week. He was able to practice on a limited basis each day this week and was being looked after by trainers on Wednesday due to the injury.

He originally had padding over his torso before removing it. Trainers then wrapped his ribs and chest area before he continued training.

So far, the Jaguars' first-round pick has been electric. He recorded 33 catches for 549 yards and leads the team with five receiving touchdowns.

He is on pace to break franchise rookie records in catches, yards and touchdowns. The typically mild-mannered receiver seems to find a different gear on the football field.

He has been nominated for the Rookie of the Week award four times this season. It would be a huge blow to Jacksonville's offense if he couldn't play.

After being limited in practice all week, the official game status report lists him as questionable with a pectoral injury.

How did Brian Thomas Jr. get injured?

His final play of the Green Bay game was his touchdown catch in the third quarter. It is believed he sustained the injury during that game when he landed on the ground.

Who will replace Brian Thomas Jr. if he can't play?

Gabe Davis (shoulder), Tank Bigsby (ankle), Travis Etienne Jr. (hamstring), Brandon Scherff (knee), Keilan Robinson (toe) and Andrew Wingard (knee) were all listed as questionable.

Ezra Cleveland (ankle) and Maason Smith (ankle) are both out.
