Will Levis is out, Mason Rudolph is coming to Buffalo for the Titans on Sunday

Will Levis is out and Mason Rudolph is in.

According to multiple reports, the Titans will turn to their backup quarterback on Sunday at Buffalo. Levis, who was listed as questionable with a right shoulder injury, will be inactive.

In some circles it is portrayed that Levis is simply not ready to leave. However, he played last Sunday with the injury, which occurred 19 days ago in a Monday night game against the Dolphins.

Levis was limited in training on Wednesday. On Thursday he participated fully, but on Friday he was limited again. Unless he has suffered a significant setback or aggravation, this will feel like a soft bench press.

Soft or not, a bench press seemed in order. Levis leads the league with 10 turnovers in just four full games and has at least one in every game this season. His nine-game turnover streak dates back to last year.

Overall, Levis had turnovers in 12 of his 14 NFL starts.

Last week, Levis seemed to be playing like a guy who thought he was on a short leash. And maybe he was.

Additionally, Rudolph performed admirably for the Steelers in the playoffs in Buffalo last year. Pittsburgh fell short to the second-seeded Bills, but they weren't embarrassed.

Add to that the fact that the Titans' only win came in 2024 when Rudolph replaced Levis, and yes, it feels a lot like a soft bench press.
